Is it to late learn to play the violin?

Don't ask that question....just get busy and get on with it. It generally takes 5 years to learn a language. Music is a language. You are at a perfect age to learn any instrument and advance according to how much practice and sacrifice you are willing to push for. Look! Give yourself 6 mos to a year of hard work with the violin. Why inside of 90 days you will be amazed. As far as "catching up" don't ever think that either. You are your own competition. Just you. Yanni does not believe in the word can't and will not be affected by it at anytime. Yanni is very very inspiring. Tear a page from his book and push on with your young life.
