What do you do when you like your best friend?

k so i like my best friend and he likes me but he has a gf and he doesnt wnat to be with her at least thats what he tells me we like eachother alot and we want to be with eachother but we dont beleive in cheating or isatant cheating and he is a sucker for crying and hes attempeted to break up with his gf but he keeps putting it off and i keep getting my feelings hurt oh by the way his girlfrined is the oppisit thing i guy will ever want his family loves me but not her and weve none eachother for 5 years adn i think hes only staying with her for but idk he says hes not and idk if i should sstya friends with him bc being friends always comes feelings and by the way we have like eachother on and off please someone help me tineetiger@yahoo,ocm
