Actually psychology courses would be very beneficial, as the ability to read your opponents is crucial to your success. Body language, what they're trying to convince you they've got, why they would be doing that, it's all a big part of the game. But a minor in game theory or mathematics would also help you out. But all the math and theory in the world won't help you if you're just playing the cards you're dealt. You also have to play the people, and psychology is the science of people.
