To ask or not to ask.... that is the question!?

So.... Sadie hawkins is soon. I have a crush on a guy that I met this year. He is super sweet and everything and I have 2 cles with him and I think I want to ask him. The problem is that we havent talked that much. will it be super awkward to ask him since i dont know him really? If so how?
