As Gas Prices Rise, Is It Time to ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’?

I would very much like to see oil exploration allowed in ANWAR and in coastal California. This President's energy policy has been an unmitigated disaster. Sure there should be some kind of alternative energy technology explored, but this global warming nonsense is bad science and bad policy. The environmentalists won't be satisfied until the economy of the US collapses and it all returns to wilderness. There are ways to drill for oil in places like Alaska without upsetting the caribou. There have been thousands of offshore wells in the Gulf of Mexico without mishaps. The reasonable thing to do would have been to make sure safety procedures are better, not to shut down the whole industry.
